NIAGARA POWER FOR NIAGARA AND ERIE COUNTIES
Now is the time to give the community near this natural resource the economic benefit.
The unallocated power from the New York Power Authority (NYPA) plant in Niagara Falls should be used for the citizens of Niagara and Erie counties. Utility bills are high and residents are struggling to pay them.
Why Donna: I have walked through the halls of the State House as part of a coalition to address energy issues.
WATER SYSTEMS
Upgrade and repair the aging water systems, particularly the City of Lockport.
Secure state and federal funds to replace the leaking and obsolete pipes.
Why Donna: With 40+ years' experience in business finance, I will find ways to bring much-needed funds to WNY and the 144th.
HEALTH CARE
Increase access to health care.
Rural hospitals are being closed. Emergency room wait times are long. We should have a program where young doctors graduating from the Jacobs School of Medicine at UB are encouraged to stay in the area and practice here.
Why Donna: For 30 years I have been helping people in need get meals and always supporting our vulnerable population.
